In 2021, Eric and his business partner Dennis Noah-Casison founded Refined Real Estate Hawaii LLC, launching a locally owned brokerage built on service, trust, and community. The firm has since entered a new chapter as Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate Refined, an evolution that preserves its local roots while expanding its reach through a global network. Eric serves as Principal Broker, overseeing all agents while continuing to lead in day-to-day sales.

Eric’s achievements include being named to Pacific Business News’ prestigious 40 Under 40 in 2020, Honolulu Magazine Best In Real Estate, Honolulu Business Magazine Top Performers  and a finalist for Pacific Edge Magazine’s Business Achievement Awards in the “Social Media Influencer of the Year” category (2019). He consistently ranks nationally as a top producer by RealTrends and the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA).

Known for his thoughtful and caring approach, Eric prioritizes building genuine relationships with his clients. He takes the time to understand their goals, educate them on the market, and guide them through every step of the process. His focus is not just on closing deals, but on ensuring his clients feel confident, informed, and empowered to make the best decisions for their future.

Before transitioning to real estate, Eric spent nearly two decades in the hospitality and customer service industry, shaping his client-first mindset.

Eric has a long-standing relationship with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii and continues his support with them in addition to many other organizations. Giving back to the communities Eric serves is important to him.

A lifelong Hawaii resident, Eric lives in Ewa Beach with his husband, Sean Tanabe-Yamamoto, and their daughter, and remains deeply committed to serving and giving back to his community.
